CLIC Studio is the main video conference centre for the University of Birmingham. We offer a fully managed, air-conditioned and quiet environment for your meeting, lecture, interview, VIVA or webcast. CLIC Studio is available for hire to all internal customers of the University between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. We are currently unable to accept bookings from companies or individuals outside the university.
Our equipment here at CLIC allows us to work with you to do more than just videoconference and studio filming. As well as the fully managed CLIC studio we also offer on-location event filming, at locations all over the university. We are one of the few centres on campus that can also offer live streaming of your event to a worldwide audience via our streaming server technologies.
CLIC has a rich background in Audio-Visual work with a variety of clients on a wide range of projects. We have been involved in editing for the Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering department and use some of the best hardware & software in the industry.
The CLIC team have been setting up collaborative work environments since we were originally founded. After initial consultation we can recommend and install the solutions you need to enable long distance teams to work together effectively. In the past we have worked with research groups and organisations within the University of Birmingham to bring together academics and professionals in a range of different fields and disciplines.
The CLIC team have a range of skills for both application and web development. In the past we have worked with clients on license administration applications, location aware mobile devices and robotics projects among others. As well as managing AV production ourselves, CLIC runs a series of training seminars for those interested in a hands-on approach to film, audio and production techniques. Our courses are individually tailored to your requirements and include use of our facilities and equipment to help you get started on your own projects.
