A web based management application for Matlab licence purchase, renewal and administration located at http://matadm.eng.bham.ac.uk/ (login required).This is a complete custom application built from the ground up as a quick and easy way to manage software licensing for Engineering at Birmingham with a focus initially on Matlab license renewal. The application is built using ASP.NET 2.0 with AJAX Extensions and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as well as initial development work using Gentle.net Object Relational Mapping for data manipulation. The application has recently been redeveloped completely from scratch in line with changing requirements.
